    Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop a center of pressure (COP)-based position sensor for the elderly. A device was developed to determine the balance ability of an individual in a standing position using a COP-based position sensor. As a result of the test, it was possible to measure COP change of the elderly. Using the device developed in this study, it would be easier to measure balance, which affects the fall of the elderly, and the fall risk could be confirmed through the measured results.
